Carol Wright Folbre obtained a Masters in English from Trinity University, San Antonio, Texas, and a Doctorate in English literature from the University of Sussex, Brighton, England. She is a fiction/nonfiction writer, works with at-risk youth, has two grown children, and resides with her husband on a Texas ranch.
