The river sings
A new song
Deep and wide and true
The birds rejoice
For summertime with
Jubilation song
Crickets chirp
In harmony to join
The daytime chorus
My heart beats
In rhythm to
The magic of summer
The flower’s song
Joins with them all
Silent they bloom forth
Even the trees sing
Bending and swaying
In the gentle breeze
The path beneath
Crackles underfoot in
Percussive explosions
Together
In harmony
The melody of summer
