Never was there anything
like the QAnon psycho pyrotechnics
with such malfeasance; nor
the Trumper’s cold stare provoking yours

coming out of the post office;
never such hostile and open belligerence
in the haughty strut of the rude and edgy.
Never was there so much

negative resonance, such corrosiveness
at the core, radiating outward—
at least the early spring sunlight was
making everything new again, with

the murmurations of the flocks about to
begin the wheeling and grinding of their song.
