as I reach your shore to rest
I ponder all the riches
and my place among creation
and the love that emanates
as all beauty coalesces
and I lay along the water
and drink from the cup
I see your face come closer
and recognize me deeper
in the reflection of creation
as I take my last breath
I am joyful in the taking
for I see through eyes that join me
all the stunning beauty
before me
and as I wake from this sweet dream
I have new eyes through to see you
and to open wide my heart
and live my days to full completion
for we are one with all the trees
and birds, the flowers and each other
we can see better
through the eyes that you have opened
