After our prom
After we fooled around
At the drive-in
Thirty years later
My girlfriend
Lost her breasts
To cancer – survived
Then drove a bulldozer
And mixed and poured her
Own concrete driveway

More recently
My daughter
(Child kid offspring)
Chose to remove
Their breasts
In search for
A more authentic self
Soon their voice
May be a little deeper
I admire their courage

If it were up to me
Like a momma cat
(Or Artemis at Ephesus)
I’d grow three pair
Of breasts on my chest
Wear them everywhere
And offer my teats
To any passerby
Pull anyone
To my bosom
To suckle and comfort
