A courteous reception to a visitor,
One cyclamen in a bud vase,
The first page to a song book
Solemnizing scribbling weakening at the end.
A curious Platonic thought, the transience
Of an almost-posthumous whisper I once heard
From particles of light in the great darkness;
So we bear witness to what is beyond us.
