Taking a nap I lose my way
the world of dreams has gone astray
sky full of clouds give way to thought
unsure of what man has wrought
stagnant time just beyond our reach
wandering on an abandoned beach
a maligned concept of the senses
trying to scale invisible fences
conceptual thinking at its best
comes creeping in when at rest
the words remain hidden in time
refusing to be exposed to rhyme
so sleep the reverie of romance
that opens oneself to happenstance
