Journeys
wonderous journeys
your essence holds portals
steel tracks no compass can escape
pine forests torn open by lightening
salty oceans weathering storms
Expedition
after epic expedition
I remember
buoyant canoes
butterflies wisp away
ghosts whisper
outside speeding train
empty seats snooze
in lonely Greyhound
cowboy hat Nancy Drew
rucksack bouncing springs
only companions
Pilgrimages
faithful pilgrimages
I have sauntered
explored the world with you
seemed to know
in split second
that it would be a moment
I’d want to keep
I dream perchance
to tread once more
familiar miles
a whimsical dream
that I may through travel
relive lodestone memories
to be there again
if only to pass the time with you
