When your voice
descended like an eagle’s
premeditated drop
without sound,
dead lived
leaves brown
whirled and moved
upwards in a transformation
dance of molecules
ecstatically alive
with the possibility of
You
canceling all the stars burned
out into black holes
of emptiness
in the pit of my
stomach’s brain,
growling and rumbling
for connecting love
galloping neurons
down aisles
paved with promises
and golden commitments.
A day-old crumb
tossed by you
and I leap
full of canine eagerness,
tail waging
furiously exuberant
to see Master
home once more,
my teeth clamped
in firm tenacity
on the contrived caress
of your touch.
