the spirits have spoken in a dream
I heard their voices from the beyond
they said you are one of the humans
with consciousness of despair and glee
the trick is to appreciate the small things
daily throughout your one life
which eventually turns out to be
the meaningful big things in total
looking at the center of a sunflower
tasting the small wild blueberries
watching the red-tailed hawk soar
looking at your lover’s beard
I’m so glad I received instructions
in my wild technicolor dream
on how to live my unique existence
now to apply…
