It was the kind of dream
you don’t forget
more vision than dream
you feel awake
you feel everything

You feel touch
as if in someone’s arms
you feel the texture of their shirt
the whole fit of their body
as when your lover
mother, father, friend extends
their arms out to you
and you accept

You’re not afraid
to feel vulnerable
you’re not worried
about past or future
you evolve in the present

When you wake up
you are lying on your side
your arms around yourself
surprised
you are this easy to love
