i like the way you moved
with your little basket
full of apples
toward me
today
the smell of coffee made me think
you were there
among my books
there is a picture i want to show you
of a basket full of apples
and you
walking

it could have been a perfect
quiet evening
me sitting in a chair
seeing the rain fall
silently
quietly
you walk in
i hear the rain tapping on the ground
