i wrote in an old school composition book a looseleaf binder a spiral notebook i typed listening intently to the staccato song of each keystroke rhythmically driving me forward letter by letter word by word i sat in front of a bulging glass-faced monitor that unblinking cyclops eye staring back at me declined doesn’t meet our needs but you may submit again now hunched over my laptop im still writing writing writing longing to be read.
