When Art and Fear clamor for our faint hearts
Thunder huffs and lightning shrieks inside us
Rhythmic dances revive songs of love lost
Choose one silence the other, cry tired souls

Select the Art of the sycamore tree
Mottled by desire, passion soothed o’er
A velvet canvas stills the reckless hands
Wash away the ash to color autumn

Rely on Fear instead and all its guilt,
Anguish, mischief thrashing muddied waters
To cool the blood and roar uncertainty
Doubt and confusion shield you from failure

But Fear lurches, tempest readied to soak
Dry the fury, snatch the wisdom slowly
From Art, with prickled stems and cloistered blooms
Storms and shipwrecks, raging truth unspoken
