Does the hawk mind
Flying alone
Wondering
Will they wait
At the nest or fly on
Without him?
Even as he flies
He cries.
Silently so as to fool.
His wings
Pull him.
Clouds his only company.
He’s higher now but
Not less worried.
Just more practiced.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful poem by Pasquale Trozzolo. My thought is that the hawk is enjoying the solitude – with grace and gratitude.
This poem hit me. Great piece, Pasquale! At times you struggle and strive to keep up silently all while not realizing that you are actually making small progress nonetheless.
