Remembering you
Bittersweet occupation
On the best of days
And heart wrenching
On those tenuous days
Like today
You are in the clouds
That drift by on a
Warm summer day
You are in the birdsong
That cheerfully calls
From the branch up above
You are in the violin
That serenades me
From within the orchestra
You are the sound
Of a child’s laughter as they
Run through the sprinkler
You are in the words
Of the book that I am reading
As the heroine speaks
You are in the hug
Of my best friend as she
Holds me close
You are
Everywhere
And … nowhere
