Blood, sinew, and bone
Revolve through the pendulum arc
Powering the carbon-light frame
With hips locked
Shoulders rounding
Fingertips feathering the brake
I laugh as the wind—
Always faster—
Pushes against me

I just enjoy the imagery of this work. One can almost feel the wind and its force. I like the juxtaposition of the words defiance and laugh.
You can almost feel the struggle with the wind. We have all been there.
