While doing hallway duty, I watched Carrie
share her Tootsie Pop with Dorothy.
Dorothy offered the candy to Kevin
who took a few licks.
Dorothy and Kevin went to class,
and Carrie gave the sucker to Jimmy,
who stuck the Tootsie Pop
in his mouth, then offered it to Kathy.
After that I had to get ready for class,
so I don’t know how many more people
shared the heavenly flavor of that Tootsie Pop.
When you share candy
you can get what’s called
a communicable disease.
That means the common cold,
the flu, strep throat, COVID.
For everyone I just mentioned,
it was like they were kissing each other,
and some of them didn’t even know it.
