Raven watches from a promontory,
two lovers reposing in wilting sexual
blossoms, until repose gives way
to lost tranquility, unbearably
driven by lust
Soon naked in body and mind,
they will not see the outer stars.

Half man and half woman, they
conjoin again and again.
There is no music to it.
Flesh on flesh without
the intensity of love, Raven
observes, wanting to speak, for
Raven can solve puzzles.

But Raven cannot solve the
puzzle of this cruel aching.
