Whenever I despair
I pop two words
in my mouth
then swallow.
They don’t do
much at first—
it’s like they’re
waiting to see
how hopeless
I’ve become
to decide which
will dissolve,
laughter or
suicide.

Wonderful short poem that packs a punch!
