Simplicity of summer
barefoot pace
traversing
moment by moment
pathways
zestful
flavors
scents

Inhale deeply
from your belly
let it go
slowly
catch a whiff
lean in

tiny violet lilac bursts
with their big earthy
intoxicating scent

white hyacinth
stars of purity
fragrantly
heaven sent

pink peony
silky petals
luxuriating aroma
that lingers

our berries shine
their natural wares
how come berry
how come you are
so perfect berry

raspberries
bursting
red domes
sweetness
with a hint of tartness
pockets of tiny seeds
jamlicious
blackberries
dark domes
bold tanginess
captured
in the ripe one
blueberries
fresh juicy morsels
balanced within
a tart sweetness
at home
in fresh
blueberry
pancakes

hold on berries
the watermelon
beats us all to the punch
rotund
green striped sphere
deep red
mouthwatering refresher.
