it’s best to realize that most
or many believers at least
evangelicals believe scripture
literally contains a lot of
truth instead of the more
realistic view that the
scribes who wrote it were
giving their best flawed
take on god and other
spiritual matters as seen
in the events of their day
constituting a good source
for history of the strange
ways humanity conceived
god you have to give the
work some heft and gravitas
because the thoughts that
come which are the whole
blessing of the reading ritual
contain a certain warranted
skepticism useful on the
banks of the river of time
where ensconced you sit
with your best albeit
imaginary friend and
watch it flow by
