Her mountain was tall and steady
with wide shoulders and white hair.
She would watch how sunset made
the edges of her mountain glimmer.
She loved her mountain
like she had loved her old father,
but the high white mountain,
her very own mountain,
is still here. She often feels weepy
when writing about her mountain.
