inspired by the Buddhist Monks
Listen to the rain
melt the icy snow
Watch puddles
glisten with each droplet
Think about
the grace of kindness
compassionate listening
Sunday morning yoga
Roast carrots
Bake corn muffins
Quiet victory
of a jigsaw puzzle
Company of a book
Comfort of a journal
Day turns to dusk
thoughts turn inward
pinched by the ache of loss
With conscious thought
I remember to be grateful
for the joys that exist
in this present moment
