The Long Arms of our Maple Tree
Stretch imploringly up to the sky,
Palms held open-
Waiting for the gentle first Descent of Snow
And Perfect Peace.
I sit in my Winter Chair by my Window
And think how incredible it is to be at Peace.
I feel the Fluttering of my Heart
And Know that God is nearby.
I reach for His Hand
and am No Longer Afraid.
