when I lift my pen
and touch the tip to paper
healing flows
thoughts leak from
my heart
through the pen to the paper
in one
seamless
motion
ink spills
onto the page
alongside grief
with it
my pain bleeds out
soaking the paper
there is
relief
in the speaking
pain unclothed
bared to the sunlight
inside no longer
shared with the fresh air
for all to see
healing begun
