out of their caves
igloos or yurts
thatched roofs
adobe walls
seeking direction
searching for seasons
over tundra or mountain
through valley or forest
crossing rivers and oceans
feast and famine
place of birth
depth of death
pacing time and space
pausing here maybe there
mapping locations
meeting leaving
feasting for thought
fasting for meditation
singing praying
preying loving
pilgrims seek
new next
perhaps pretentious
religious understanding
or maybe just
faith to a Holy Spirit
