Rain-soaked jet stream sags
southward washing dry winter
designs from mind’s eye
leaving odd-shaped puddle-edged
clues outlined in longleaf pollen
as winter’s murdered corpse sprawls
in cold rigor at driveway’s corner.


JMC Davis (Jim) delights in the taste of words. Two volumes of his poetry have been published. Several of his poems serve as lyrics for compositions by Bryan Seith and Lewis Alpaugh. When not engaged with writing he plays music. He, wife Nadia and Zeke, the dog live in Florida.
